Abstract : The standard model for
particle physics and cosmology has been well established after the Higgs
discovery at the Large Hadron Collider and the precise measurement of Cosmic
Microwave Background in Planck satellite, etc. Nonetheless, there are many reasons
to believe that there is new physics beyond the standard model, among which
Higgs mass hierarchy and dark matter have been some of the most urgent problems
in particle physics and cosmology. We review the current status of efforts
tackling Higgs and dark matter problems in the post-LHC era and provide the
prospects for testing new physics beyond the standard model in the next
decades.
