Vision

Physics is branch of science that studies the fundamental principles governing the interactions of matter filling the universe, using experimental and theoretical approaches, and is the foundation of all natural sciences and engineering.

  1. To develop the experimental and theoretical literacy that a physicist must have, we learn qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, develop problem-solving skills, and have deep insight of laws of nature that govern natural phenomena.
  2. Furthermore, based on the problem-solving skills and insights acquired in physics learning, we develop talents who can adapt to fields that require quantitative analysis skills such as natural science, engineering, and social science.

Educational goals by area

  1. Understanding the laws of physics

Understand the fundamental laws governing natural phenomena through core subjects such as classical mechanics, electro-magnetics, quantum mechanics, and statistical physics.
  2. Experimental skill acquisition

Through experimental courses opened every semester, students acquire the methodology of experimental research and problem-solving skills required in the process.
  3. Quantitative analysis skill acquisition

Students learn the most effective methods of quantitatively analyzing a given problem through Mathematical physics and Computational physics.
  4. Application of the laws of physics

Students learn the process of understanding natural phenomena from fundamental laws through Nuclear physics, Particle physics, Atomic Physics, and Solid state physics.
  5. Independent problem solving skills

Through a research program for undergraduate students, they experience the process of solving problems without correct answers.
  6. Ability using computer

Students learn numerical methodologies for experiments or analytical methods and technologies computing, such as artificial intelligence.
  7. Expression skill for scientific contents

Develop expression and communication skills for clear expression of the contents of natural sciences by using report writing and presentation opportunities.
