Prof. Suyong Choi completed his undergraduate and master's course in Seoul National University and received his Ph.D. degree in experimental particle physics from SNU in 1999 for his pioneering work on measurement of spin properties of the top quark. He was a research associate at University of California, Riverside between 1999 and 2005, where he conducted research in searches for the Higgs particle in D-Zero experiment at Fermilab. He was a Higgs physics group convener of the experiment between 2004 and 2008. He was an assistant and associate professor at Sungkyunkwan University between 2005 and 2009 before joining Korea University in 2010, where he is now a professor.
