Jung-Keun Ahn is an experimental nuclear physicist studying hadron structure. He received B.S.(1990) from Korea University and Ph.Ds (1998) from Korea University and (2000) from Kyoto University in Japan. Before coming to Korea University in 2014 he was a postdoctoral researcher at Research Center for Nuclear Physics (RCNP), Osaka University, and a professor in Department of Physics, Pusan National University.

Research Interests Exotic Baryon Search (He is now a spokesperson of the J-PARC E42 collaboration for the H-Dibaryon(uuddss) Search with a Large-Acceptance Hyperon Spectrometer), Meson-Baryon Molecules, Hyperon-Hyperon Interaction, Vector Meson Photoproduction, Production Mechanism of Multiply Strange Baryons (Cascade and Omega), Double-Strangeness Hypernuclei, Cosmic-Ray Interaction, Development and Application of Particle Detectors (Time-Projection Chamber, Cherenkov Detector, Scintillating Fiber Detector), Development of Table-top Accelerators, Large-acceptance Multipurpose Spectrometer (LAMPS) at RAON (the first rare-isotope accelerator to be built in Korea).
